Finding The Right Real Estate Agent
Finding a good real estate agent is absolutely essential to enjoying a successful real estate transaction. The best agent for you doesn't necessarily work at the largest brokerage, makes the most money or has the
most deals per year....the best agent for you is one you can easily communicate with, listens to your wants and needs, conducts herself/himself in an ethical manner and knows the market.
The most important thing to understand is what (or who) are you shoppin for???? To find the right agent, you must do some homework. Ask amongst your family and friends and see who they recommend - strong references from people you trust can be very helpful and beneficial. Information is Power!!
The agent with the lowest commission rate or an agent who provides the highest evaluation of your property is NOT necessarily the best option - choose wisely. Beware of an agent trying to "buy" a listing. In order to secure a listing, some agents will purposely overvalue a home for this purpose. Ask for justification - get comparable sales from the last 3 - 4 months. Once you are satisfied with knowledge and experience - find someone who has the "chemistry" that will work for you......it is a very personal experience. Make it a great one!!!!!
- Look for an experienced professional who will listen to you, conduct themselves in an ethical manner and one who knows your market.
